We've had fake elections, fake intelligence, fake threats to our
national security, fake reports of record surpluses so Bush could give
tax cuts to the rich, fake documents used in the State of the Union,
fake use of "Christian beliefs" to justify war for no reason and fake
science. At least they were consistent in the good old days.

government drug testing

I'm for daily drug testing of all members of Congress. Just before opening prayers they should be required to pee in bottles for illegal substance testing. Failure would require abstention from lobbyists free lunches for a mandated period.

I suppose this would also be a good requirement for our police departments but that would probably diminish law enforcement to an unsafe degree.

However, daily drug testing for our DEA should be absolutely mandatory.

Hope is not a strategy.

"In God We Trust," that's the heart of the problem. The U.S. dollar is a ‘faith-based currency’

The IQ and the life expectancy of the average American recently passed each other in opposite directions. Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that. George Carlin

The biggest tragedy out of the past 8 years will be if they all get away with it.

medicine man

Unless we are lucky what you’ll just get in the end when they pass a medical insurance bill, is a limp-dick quadruple-loophole infested political fart praised by a choir of elected blowhards singing how it was a heroic compromise inspired by god himself. They will hope that the majority of ill informed schmucks will leave the theatre satisfied.

The rulers of this country are a crime syndicate.

in an unregulated system debt breeds debt. Eventually someone in the financial daisy-chain wants his money and the gang bang falls apart.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest
exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a
superior moral justification for selfishness.--John Kenneth
Galbraith

When Al Capone was asked why he didn't invest in the stock market he answered, "because it's a racket."
